A day before his 43rd birthday, Tyrese took to the streets of social media to announce he and Samantha Lee are divorcing after four years of marriage.

In his statement, the singer and actor says he and Samantha have every intention on being the best of friends and coparents.

We have decided to make a statement of a painful and significant development in our lives. After much thought, consideration, and prayer, We unfortunately have made the difficult decision to officially separate & divorce. Our intention is to remain the best of friends & strong coparents.

We feel incredibly blessed to have found each other and deeply grateful for the 4 years we have been married to each other. Our journey together has been a ride of both ups & downs, but it’s a journey that neither of us would have chosen to take with anyone else. We truly have so much love & respect for each other.

We both have grown tremendously within this relationship; we have shared so many beautiful memories and moments, and we also look forward to see the amazing futures we have ahead of us individually. As if 2020 hasn’t already been extremely grueling and challenging to us all we wanted to mutually speak on this now to keep this energy in 2020 and not take this energy into 2021.

We would really appreciate your most sincere prayers and to respect our privacy at this time as we deal with the reality of where we are.

Thank you,

Sincerely & Respectfully,

Samantha & Tyrese Gibson

To add insult to injury, Tyrese’s Range Rover was stolen from the driveway of his Buckhead mansion early Tuesday morning.

Via WSB-TV:

Gibson said he parked the Range Rover in his driveway around 1:15 a.m. and came back outside around 8 a.m. to discover it was missing.

The home surveillance system did capture pictures of a dark, four door sedan, possibly a Lexus, circling the cul de sac along Gibson’s street.

“The sedan then stopped in front (of) the … address. A male wearing a hoodie exited the passenger side, walks up to the victim(‘s) vehicle around 2:06 a.m., pulled on the driver side door handle and the door opened. Moments later the victim(’s) vehicle drives out of the driveway trailing the sedan,” the incident report from the Atlanta Police Department said.

Oh, I forgot to mention Tyrese told police he left the key fob to the Ranger Rover inside of the SUV in the cup holder.

The brotha lost his wife and his truck before his birthday.
