Premiering globally on Prime Video on November 5, 2025, Finding Joy marks Perry’s first holiday film in twelve years since A Madea Christmas.

And she does not disappoint! She brings so much warmth, humor, and vulnerability to her character, Joy, a talented New York fashion designer who’s used to being overlooked at work and unlucky in love.
When Joy’s crush Colton (played by Aaron O’Connell) heads to Colorado, she follows him with hopes of finally making a romantic connection.
But in true Perry fashion, a shocking twist and a snowstorm leave her stranded instead.
Just when things couldn’t feel more hopeless, Joy meets Ridge (Tosin Morohunfola), a stranger whose presence changes everything.
