Tori Spelling has issued an apology for a photo she posted daughter that many found to be offensive and racist.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star shared a photo of her 8-year-old daughter, Hattie, with a bandana on her head and Cheetos rubber-banned to her fingers as nails.
The caption on the photo read, “Days kept inside we have to get creative…Hattie has become McQuisha in her Cheeto extension nails!”

Folks did not hesitate to call Tori on her BS!
On Wednesday, Tori Spelling returned to social media to issue an apology.
She claimed her daughter’s alter ego was inspired by the “Martin” character “Shanaynay.”
Tori went to explain the name was a play on Hattie’s last name.
I posted a story the other day that upset many of you. I’m truly sorry. That was NOT the intention at ALL.
Hattie is 8. We watch and adore old reruns of Martin. She loves the character Shanaynay. She made up that name with ‘Mc’ bc her last name is McDermott. She was reenacting the over the top fun and amazing character from Martin. She is innocent and didn’t mean anything by it.
I should have thought about how it could have been perceived and misconstrued before I posted. I did not. I’m truly sorry.

Tori doesn’t strike me as the brightest bulb in the lamp and that’s all I have to say about that.
