“The Wonder Years” is returning to ABC with melanin.
Lee Daniels is set to executive produce a reboot of the hit 80s coming-of-age comedy featuring a Black family in Montgomery, Alabama!
Just like the original series, the reboot will take place in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
“Big Bang Theory” writer Saladin K. Patterson has been tapped to write the script and executive produce the series alongside Lee Daniels and Marc Velez.
Neal Marlens, the co-creator of “The Wonder Years,” will serve as a consultant and Fred Savage, who starred in the original series, will direct the pilot.
The series is expected to premiere in the 2021-2022 television season.
I’m here for it.
