A Night To Remember
What do you get when you have four legends share one stage? A masterclass in music, vocals, and pure showmanship. I had the pleasure of attending The Queens! 4 Legends. 1 Stage Tour on Saturday, September 20, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and it was an epic celebration of timeless talent.
Gladys Knight Opens With Timeless Classics
The night kicked off with the legendary Gladys Knight, looking radiant and commanding the crowd’s attention from the first note.
She gave us gems like “If I Were Your Woman,” “Neither One of Us,” and “Grapevine.”
She even delivered a soul-stirring cover of Donnie McClurkin’s “Stand” and warmed hearts with “That’s What Friends Are For.”
Although there were moments where Ms. Knight stumbled on lyrics, her backup singers stepped in seamlessly, showing the teamwork and respect that has carried her music through generations.
The crowd never wavered and everyone was singing right along.
Stephanie Mills Brings The Energy
Next up was Stephanie Mills, dressed in a stunning red ensemble that matched her fiery stage presence.
She may be petite, but her voice and energy filled the arena.
Stephanie had us moving with “What Cha Gonna Do With My Love,” “(You’re Puttin’) A Rush On Me,” and “Something In The Way You Make Me Feel.”
When she reached her beloved hit “I Have Learned To Respect The Power of Love,” the audience turned the concert into a full-out jam session.
Closing her set with “Home,” Stephanie reminded us all why her place in music history is so secure.
Patti LaBelle Shows Why She’s The Blueprint
Then came the incomparable Patti LaBelle, who proved once again that her music is woven into the soundtrack of our lives.
She opened with “Love, Need And Want You,” “Right Stuff,” and “On My Own,” before officially kicking off her shoes and taking us higher.
Even while joking about her menopausal heat flashes, Patti powered through with “Lady Marmalade,” “New Attitude,” “Somebody Loves You Baby,” and “My Love, Sweet Love” from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack.
She brought razzle dazzle with an outfit change and even pulled a few fellas on stage for an impromptu talent show that had everyone cracking up.
Her set reached a heartfelt peak with “You Are My Friend,” performed as a touching in memoriam video honored those we’ve lost.
It was a moment of reflection wrapped in love.
Chaka Khan Closes With Pure Power
Finally, Chaka Khan stormed the stage with unmatched energy, immediately raising the lights and the crowd’s excitement.
She delivered “Do You Love What You Feel,” “I Feel For You,” and even let the audience completely take over “Sweet Thang.”
Her performance of “I’m Every Woman” became a women’s empowerment anthem ringing through the arena before she wrapped the night with the funk-driven classic “Ain’t Nobody.”

Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle, and Chaka Khan gave Atlanta a night of sheer magic.
