A Bold New Take On A Classic Tale
Warner Bros. has just released the first teaser trailer for The Bride, and let me tell you, this film is already shaping up to be a must-watch.
Directed by Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal, The Bride brings a fresh, fearless spin on one of the world’s most iconic stories.
Starring Jessie Buckley as The Bride and Christian Bale as Frankenstein, the film transports us to 1930s Chicago, where Frankenstein seeks out groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (played by Annette Bening).
Together, they bring a murdered young woman back to life, and The Bride is born.
Instead of a simple tale of creation, the story spirals into murder, possession, cultural rebellion, and an explosive outlaw romance.

A Star-Studded Cast
The cast is stacked with talent, including:
- Jessie Buckley (The Lost Daughter) as The Bride
- Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Trilogy) as Frankenstein
- Annette Bening (Nyad) as Dr. Euphronious
- Peter Sarsgaard (Memory)
- Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler)
- Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona)
Behind the camera, Maggie Gyllenhaal teams up with a powerhouse crew featuring Oscar-winning composer Hildur Gudnadóttir, acclaimed cinematographer Lawrence Sher, editor Dylan Tichenor, and costume designer Sandy Powell.
