Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Share Engagement News

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged.

The singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared the news in a joint Instagram post on August 26, featuring photos of Kelce proposing in a garden surrounded by flowers.

The caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”

Both Swift and Kelce are 35.

Relationship Timeline

The couple’s relationship began in July 2023, when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium.

Shortly after, Kelce revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that he had attempted to meet Swift and give her a friendship bracelet with his number.

In September 2023, Swift attended a Chiefs game and was seen in Kelce’s suite with his mother, which sparked public interest in their relationship.

Swift confirmed in her Time Person of the Year interview that the two had already been dating at that time, having started getting to know each other privately after his podcast comments.

Public Appearances And Support

Throughout late 2023 and 2024, the couple appeared together at various events.

They were seen holding hands in New York City and attended the Chiefs’ holiday party in Kansas City.

Swift attended several of Kelce’s football games, including the 2024 Super Bowl, where the Chiefs secured a win.

After the game, she joined Kelce on the field to celebrate.

Kelce later traveled internationally to attend multiple Eras Tour stops, including shows in Australia, Singapore, and Europe.

In June 2024, he appeared onstage with Swift at London’s Wembley Stadium during a choreographed segment and was included in a backstage photo with Prince William and his children.

A Year Of Milestones

In July, Kelce shared a series of photos highlighting their time together, including coordinated outfits, vacation moments, and matching lock screens.

A source told PEOPLE that their relationship had “quickly turned more serious” due to shared values and mutual support.

In an interview on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast, Kelce acknowledged the relationship publicly, stating, “That’s my girl. That’s my lady.”

Swift also referenced Kelce during her concerts by changing the lyrics of her song “Karma” to say, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” when he was in the audience.

Though Kelce wasn’t present at Swift’s final Eras Tour show in Vancouver, he later surprised her with an Eras-themed party.

Congrats to the lovebirds on their engagement.
