Reshona Landfair Set To Release Memoir ‘Who’s Watching Shorty?: Reclaiming Myself From The Shame Of R. Kelly’s Abuse’

Reshona Landfair announces her memoir “Who’s Watching Shorty?” sharing her powerful story of survival, healing, and reclaiming her voice after R. Kelly’s abuse.

You may not instantly recognize Reshona Landfair’s name, but if you’ve followed the R. Kelly case from the beginning, you already know [a part of] her story.

Reshona, who testified as “Jane Doe” during the disgraced singer’s federal trial, was the 14-year-old girl in the child pornography video that ultimately helped secure Kelly’s convictions for racketeering and sex trafficking.

Now, she’s ready to share her own story – in her own words – with the forthcoming release of her memoir, “Who’s Watching Shorty?: Reclaiming Myself From The Shame Of R. Kelly’s Abuse.”

The book’s official description pulls back the curtain on the world that failed her at every turn.

According to the publisher, no one in Landfair’s life looked out for her best interests or shielded her from a man who was widely known, or at least rumored, to be a predator.

Family members, music executives, social services, and even law enforcement ignored the signs, blinded by Kelly’s fame.

For the first time, Reshona is telling the full, unfiltered truth in her own words.

Her memoir confronts the painful questions that have lingered for decades.

What was it like to be a young teen, still emotionally a child, swept into Kelly’s orbit?

Why did she believe he loved her despite the abuse?

Why did she stay silent for so long?

Readers will get an intimate look at the girl Kelly referred to as his “goddaughter” and the woman she has fought to become after losing her voice, her freedom, and nearly her life under his control.

It goes beyond trauma to become a call to vigilance, a reminder to protect the vulnerable, and a celebration of survival.

Drew Dixon, who gained significant public attention for coming forward with sexual assault allegations against Russell Simmons, wrote the foreword for the book.
