A Garden District mansion, reportedly owned by JAY-Z and Beyoncé, caught fire on Wednesday night and it is being investigated as a “simple arson.”
A residential smoke alarm alerted the fire about to the blaze around 6:15 p.m.
Twenty-two firefighters responded and they were able to contain the fire just after 7 p.m., and had it completely extinguished by 8:30 p.m.
A spokesperson said, “If they hadn’t gotten it under control, it could have been worse.”
Isn’t that the case with most fires? I digress.
ABC New Orleans says the police are investigating the fire as “simple arson” after receiving tips of a suspicious person in the area around the time of the fire.”
The blessing is no injuries were reported.
