Fred The Godson has passed away after battling COVID-19.
The 35-year-old rapper, real name Fredrick Thomas, took to social media on April 6 and posted a photo of himself in the hospital receiving respiratory treatment.
The caption on the photo read:

At one point, things were looking up after Fred’s wife told the media they were weaning him off of a ventilator.
Unfortunately, Fred has succumbed to the virus.
