Plastic Surgeon Dr. Paymon Simoni Dies From COVID-19 After Patient Coughs On Him

Dr. Paymon Simoni died Friday from a brain hemorrhage due to complications from COVID-19, which he contracted from a patient he operated on.

He was 50.

Dr. Paymon Simoni was featured on “The Doctors” show on CBS. He is the guy with the red tie.

The City of Beverly Hills passed a resolution allowing cosmetic surgery offices to remain open despite rising COVID-19 cases.

Dr. Simoni was doing a lip injection on a patient last month and she unknowingly had COVID-19. The woman was temperature-checked and she filled out a COVID questionnaire, but she had not been tested for COVID-19 at that time.

While the doctor was performing the procedure, sources say the woman coughed in his face. The doctor had his mask on, but the woman’s cough sprayed on him.

A few days later the woman called the office and told them that she tested positive for COVID-19.

Dr. Simoni immediately went into quarantine. Shortly after, he started experiencing symptoms and before long he was on a ventilator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

He was eventually placed in a medically induced coma due to lung failure, and he passed on Friday from a brain hemorrhage.

Our condolences go out to the Simoni family.
