As the masses continue to uplift DMX is prayer, Omari Hardwick took to social media to share a poem he penned in honor of the rapper.
The “Power” star and poet wrote:
Dear scars
hand still raised to God
‘Where the hood at’ still blasting outa cars
I’m all good black
just slipping & it got me asking for a re-do on this ole heart
before a bruva fall…
Make me a new start
X man dark….illuminated by these stars….
Text back God who done waited to do His part
Respect to all of y’all who knew i made it for my dogs
‘One More Road to Cross’
Resurrection from my flaws
All the wires connected & yet i still got the section on floss….from Yonkers…i drove em bonkers to all the monsters i been battling since i was small….
Shit….I’m still da boss
Microphone to the sky & I’m STILL rapping like a nigga on call
All them poems i killed got me alive
like I’m bigger than Biggie Smalls
‘Lord Give Me A Sign’
cuz i can feel em clapping like I’m the applause
I been here before this time
& no matter what happens
I’ma ALWAAAAYS be here….for ALL of y’all!!
