Karl Anthony Towns has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Minnesota Timberwolves NBA baller took to Instagram to share the bad news.
Karl lost his mother and an uncle to the virus last year, so you can imagine how stressful this news has been on his family.
In his statement, Karl wrote:
It breaks my heart that my family, and particularly my father and sister continue to suffer from the anxiety that comes along with this diagnosis as we know all too well what the end result could be.
He went on to make a promise to his niece and nephew:
To my niece and nephew, Jolani and Max, I promise you I will not end up in a box next to grandma and I will beat this.
