Naomi Osaka received a special thank you from Trayvon Martin’s mom, Sybrina Fulton, and Ahmaud Arbery’s father, Marcus Arbery, after her quarterfinals match Tuesday night for bringing awareness to their son’s death.

You can tell Osaka was presently surprised and filled with emotion after receiving the heartfelt words of appreciation from Trayvon’s mother and Ahmaud’s father.
Osaka has been wearing masks to her matches with the names of victims who have been killed by police or subjected to systemic racism written on them.
She is an extremely smart and courageous 22-year-old who has won 2 Grand Slam Championships.
Her most notable win was against her childhood idol Serena Williams in the 2018 US Open.
At the trophy ceremony Serena fans booed her for winning, and Serena consoled her.

The very next year Osaka won the Australian Open (2019).
Osaka says she has 7 masks, one for every round of the tournament, and she will continue to wear them to bring awareness.
