Naomi Osaka is the new brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton!
The tennis champ said it is a “full circle moment” for her to be their newest brand ambassador because at the age of 16 she started buying her mom LV bags for her birthday every year.
Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director for LV, tapped Osaka as a brand ambassador and the face of his latest collection because he says she inspires him.
Naomi is an exceptional woman who represents her generation and is also a role model for everyone. Her career and convictions are inspiring. I am in awe of Naomi, she stays true to herself and doesn’t compromise on her values. I am looking forward to sharing new projects with Naomi in the year to come!

Naomi is ecstatic about working with Nicolas, and she feels they have similar taste when it comes to fashion and style.
Aside from tennis, my most treasured passion is fashion; and there is no brand more iconic than Louis Vuitton. It is such an honor to work with Nicolas—he’s a designer I admire so much and we share a mutual love of Japanese culture and style. To become a global brand ambassador is truly a dream come true for me.
While 2020 has been a crap year for most of us, Naomi hit some amazing career milestones in the year of the Pandemic. She won the 2020 US Open, and she became the highest-paid female athlete by Forbes and Sportsperson of the Year by Sports Illustrated.
She also represented the BLM movement during her 2020 US Open run by wearing masks to her matches with the names of victims of police brutality, social injustice, and systemic racism. She put the world on notice with her statement “Before I am an athlete, I am a Black woman.” Naomi is very self-aware, and she is not afraid to speak her mind.
Naomi Osaka is an amazing young woman and she is very deserving of all the blessings that are coming her way.
We wish her well with her LV ambassadorship.
