Netflix Unveils Its Next Horror Obsession
Netflix just released the official trailer for “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” and let me tell you, it is not for the faint of heart.
This time around, Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are taking us deep into the terrifying real-life tale of Ed Gein, a seemingly quiet recluse whose twisted crimes became the blueprint for modern horror.
Who Was Ed Gein?
Ed Gein lived in 1950s rural Wisconsin, where he kept to himself on a decaying farm.
But behind closed doors, he was hiding a gruesome house of horrors.
Driven by isolation, mental illness, and an unhealthy obsession with his mother, Gein’s crimes shocked the world.
His story would go on to inspire some of the most iconic fictional villains in film history, from Norman Bates in Psycho to Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs.
Gein didn’t just commit unspeakable acts, he reshaped an entire genre.

Charlie Hunnam Leads The Cast
One of the most exciting elements of “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” is the casting.
Charlie Hunnam takes center stage in this chilling installment of the anthology series.
Known for his roles in “Sons of Anarchy” and Pacific Rim, Hunnam brings both grit and emotional depth to his portrayal, making him the perfect choice to embody such a complex and disturbing figure.
The Return Of Ryan Murphy’s Anthology
Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s “Monster” anthology has already given us “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” and “Monster: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.”
Now, with “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” the series is stepping into its darkest territory yet.
The trailer teases a haunting exploration of how one man’s descent into madness became a cultural touchpoint, forcing society to confront the idea that monsters aren’t born—they’re made.
