McNair High School in Atlanta, Georgia, issued a no book bag policy on Monday (Aug. 16) after a student brought a gun to school.
The high school released the following statement to the media:
McNair High school implemented a new book bag policy, which went into effect on Aug. 16, to ensure a safe environment for all students and staff. No book bags will be allowed at school.
The district didn’t go into detail about the gun incident, but they did say students will be allowed to carry personal or emergency items in a small bag.

Apparently, the school doesn’t have metal detectors in their budget.
I hope they realize that guns can also be hidden in clothing.
