Alright. Alright. Alright. Matthew McConaughey announced over the weekend that he has decided not to run for governor of Texas.
The Oscar-winning actor released a 3-minute video on his Instagram page where he talked about the problems and responsibilities of local and national politics.
Most importantly, Matthew talked about the values and importance of service – especially being of service to others.
With that being said…he shared he would not be running for office.
As a simple kid born in the little town of Uvalde, Texas, it never occurred to me that I would one day be considered for political leadership. It’s a humbling and inspiring path to ponder. It is also a path that I’m choosing not to take at this moment.
But, don’t fret, Matthew McConaughey made it very that that he would do his part in making the world a better place.
I will continue to work and invest the bounty I have by supporting entrepreneurs, businesses and foundations that I believe are leaders, establishments that I believe are creating pathways for people to succeed in life, organizations that have a mission to serve and build trust while also generating prosperity.
That’s the American dream.
Watch the video below.
I would have loved to see Matthew dropping those triple Alrights on the campaign trail.
