Lyfe Jennings Isn’t Done Just Yet
Just when you thought the dust had settled, Lyfe Jennings slid back into the spotlight with a remix of Muni Long’s hit single “Made For Me.”
He shared the remix on Instagram, proving he’s not letting this moment pass without making some musical noise of his own.
As I previously reported, Muni Long issued a public apology to Lyfe Jennings after joking on Threads that he sounded like “a hatin ass” on his 2004 R&B classic “Must Be Nice.”
The post went viral, triggering a wave of commentary across social media and even coverage from “The Breakfast Club.”
Lyfe responded on Instagram and The Shade Room, calling the joke disrespectful.
In the end, Muni publicly apologized, stating it was all meant in jest and asking to move on.
Well… Lyfe heard that, and decided to reply in song.

Lyfe’s “Made For Me” Remix Has Something To Say
In his remix of “Made For Me,” Lyfe Jennings flexes his vocal chops while addressing the controversy head-on.
He sings:
I think I’m due a little respect
Been in this sh-t for 20 years, did you forget?
You apologized, but you were lying.
Then, in a surprising turn, he ends the verse with a positive note directed at Muni:
Just keep on going, using your gift
You were made for this.
A little shade, a little grace… very on-brand.

Now look. I respect a good clapback track as much as the next music lover, but Chile… he really could’ve used this energy to give us a fresh single.
I’ve played Lyfe 268-192 so many times the lyrics done faded off the CD and now it’s just an instrumental.
