Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to federal gun charges on Friday (December 11).

The rapper entered his plea during a virtual hearing in Miami federal court.

He told U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams, “Your honor, I plead guilty.”

The guilty plea is part of a deal Wayne took in hopes of receiving some leniency on his sentence because he’s taking responsibility for his actions.

Because he is a convicted felon there is a real possibility Lil Wayne could end up back in prison for another decade.

Well, the bright side is Weezy and Denise Bidot are back together so if he does end up back in the clink, he’ll have a pen pal.

Wayne’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 28.
