Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty To Four Felony Charges
Lil Nas X is officially fighting back in court.
The Grammy-winning rapper and singer has entered a not-guilty plea after being hit with four felony charges stemming from his August 21 arrest in Los Angeles.
On Monday morning, August 25, Lil Nas X (real name Montero Lamar Hill) waived his arraignment and formally pleaded not guilty to three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

Bail Set And Narcotics Meetings Ordered
The judge set his bail at $75,000 and ordered that he attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings as part of his pretrial release conditions.
Police previously stated they believed the “Industry Baby” artist was under the influence of drugs during the incident.
However, Lil Nas X’s attorney, Christy O’Connor, told Reuters that was not the case, calling the situation “an aberration in his life.”
A rep for Nas has not yet responded to media requests for comment.
What Led To The Arrest?
As previously reported, Lil Nas X was seen walking along Ventura Boulevard in the early morning hours of August 21 wearing nothing but his underwear and cowboy boots.
Eyewitness footage showed him appearing disoriented and placing a traffic cone on his head while pointing at passing cars.
Multiple calls were made to LAPD reporting a “nude man in the street.”
When officers arrived on the scene, they say Lil Nas X became combative and allegedly assaulted police before being subdued and taken to the hospital.
Serious Charges With Serious Consequences
Under California law, each charge of felony battery on a police officer and resisting an executive officer carries a potential penalty of up to three years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
So while Nas has entered a not-guilty plea, the stakes are incredibly high.
