Lil Baby, aka Dominique Jones, found himself behind bars in Las Vegas on Monday after getting caught with an illegal weapon.
The rapper was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, a felony charge that landed him in the Clark County Detention Center with a $5,000 bail.
Despite the arrest, Lil Baby’s legal team, attorneys Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, are pushing back.
They told TMZ that Jones holds a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit and are actively investigating the circumstances that led to his arrest.
However, Nevada doesn’t recognize CCW permits from Georgia, which complicates matters for the rapper.
According to law enforcement, Lil Baby was spotted at a Vegas nightclub when he was captured on video being handed a gun.
When the police arrived and looked into the situation, they arrested him for carrying a concealed firearm without the necessary permit.
Prior to his arrest, Lil Baby was captured on video dropping a massive $11,000 tip for the employees of Toca Modera in Vegas.

If only he knew…he would need that money for bail later.
This isn’t Lil Baby’s first run-in with the law.
In 2019, he was arrested in Atlanta for a series of traffic violations, including failure to signal, eluding police, and reckless driving.
Two years later, he faced another legal issue in Paris, France, when police nabbed him with weed in his car.
