👶🏽 ‘Love Is Blind’ Fan Favorites Are Growing Their Family
The “Love Is Blind“ family just got a little bit sweeter—Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton are expecting their first child!
The beloved couple, who melted hearts on Season 1 of the hit Netflix series, confirmed the exciting news to PEOPLE and opened up about their emotional journey to parenthood, which included four years of trying and a recent IVF experience.
❤️ A Long-Awaited Moment
“We were counting down the day till we could test,” Cameron shared. “We flipped over the Clearblue test, and it said pregnant. It was a huge moment.”
For Lauren, the moment was overwhelming in the best way.
“I fell to my knees and cried,” she said. “It’s been a long time coming.”
The couple has previously been open about their infertility struggles, even discussing the emotional toll on an episode of their podcast, “The Love Seat.”
Lauren also revealed the personal significance of this milestone, sharing that they found out they were pregnant just weeks after she lost her father.
“This was literally light in the darkness. The spark my family needed.”
🧀 Lauren Speed’s Cheese Cravings & First Trimester Feels
While Lauren’s first trimester had its challenges, she says she’s now feeling better and adjusting to her new normal—complete with some fun pregnancy cravings.
“Cheese and fruit have been my thing! Cheese puffs, macaroni, shredded cheese… I want it all!”
🥹 A Supportive Partner Through It All
Through the ups and downs of IVF, Lauren credits Cameron for being her rock.
“He’s been so patient, so great. I’m blessed to have a partner like him.”
As they prepare for their new adventure, they’ve been leaning on fellow Love Is Blind alums Amber and Matt Barnett—who recently welcomed a baby—for advice.
“Amber is giving me the real, real lowdown,” Lauren laughed.
🍼 Looking Ahead To Parenthood
With just a few months to go, Lauren and Cameron are soaking up the anticipation and dreaming about the future.
“I’m most excited about reliving childhood again through our baby,” Lauren said. “Disney on Ice, the zoo, all of it.”
Cameron added he hopes to carry on a special tradition with their little one:
“When I was a baby, I slept on my dad’s chest that first night home from the hospital. Maybe we can keep that tradition going.”
