Kenya Moore has been indefinitely suspended from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA), currently filming its 16th season.
This shocking development comes after Moore allegedly displayed posters with explicit images of franchise newcomer Brittany Eady at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, Georgia, last week.
The Incident
According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the photos were “allegedly found online.”
Eady later addressed the controversy on her social media, expressing her dismay: “It’s never a good feeling being targeted or HAZED BY SOMEONE I thought would embrace me into a new circle, that I never met.”
Bravo cameras were reportedly filming the cast event at the time, and the network is still reviewing the content Kenya displayed during filming.
Following the alleged incident, Kenya took to X (formerly Twitter) to defend herself: “I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail. I have always been vindicated. I can’t talk about STORY even with people planting fake news.”
She also added on her Instagram Story, “Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes to light.”
Kenya Moore’s Response
Hours after the suspension news broke, Kenya went live on Instagram to address the situation directly.
While showcasing her newly opened hair salon, she admitted needing “a little bit of TLC” because there’s “just a lot going on.”
Kenya emphasized her perspective as a single mom and business owner facing unwarranted criticism.
“The way that people go out of their way to disparage your name or ruin your business, I’ll never understand it,” she lamented.
“Leave me alone. I’m a single mom. I’m out here just like anybody else. I am not getting child support, I’m not getting anything. I’m taking care of my daughter on my own.”
She urged her fans to support her through this challenging period, saying, “I am blessed. I just want people to stop trying to tear down another Black woman’s businesses. It’s not that serious. I don’t bother people unless they bother me.”
Despite the turmoil, Kenya remained resilient and optimistic. “I stay winning, you know? It is in my blood. Success matriculates around me. So, I accept that. God has given me that, but I also give back as much as I possibly can,” she said.
Kenya assured her followers that they’ll “be seeing” her soon, despite the ongoing controversy.
Support From Fellow Housewives
During her live stream, several of her fellow Housewives showed their support.
Porsha Williams commented, “We love you!!” and praised Kenya as a “Queen.”
Drew Sidora also offered kind words, along with Shamea Morton and Angela Oakley.
Even though Kelli Ferrell was watching, she didn’t comment, leaving only Cynthia Bailey, who is believed to be working out of the country, and Brittany Eady, with whom Kenya’s reported drama is with, unmentioned.
Earlier in the day, a source told ET, “Kenya was suspended for allegedly depicting Brittany performing a sexual act at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, from images allegedly found online. The network is still reviewing the content Kenya displayed during filming.”
ET can confirm that Brittany and the rest of the ensemble are still filming, but it remains unclear if Kenya will return to the show after this incident.
