Teyana Taylor took to social media to get a few things off her chest regarding Kayla Nicole.
During an appearance on Angel Reese’s podcast, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend was asked about the craziest thing she’d ever done in a relationship.
Kayla recalled how a guy she was dating dumped her for an actress/singer “who was famous at the time.”
She went on to say that they were hailed as a “celebrity iconic relationship.”
Kayla Nicole said she was heartbroken and devastated because she had moved to New York to be closer to him.
So, that Halloween, to be petty, she dressed up as the actress/singer.

It didn’t take the Top Flight Social Media Sleuths long to figure out Kayla Nicole was talking about Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor.
Iman was drafted by the New York Knicks in 2011—the same year he met Teyana Taylor.
Then, there was the photographic evidence of Kayla Nicole dressed up like Teyana Taylor in Kanye West’s “Fade” video.
Teyana took to Instagram and decided to play petty, too!
She created a post highlighting all of the film projects she has coming in 2025, with Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” as the background music.
The caption read:

For context: Kayla Nicole’s ex, Travis Kelce, is now dating Taylor Swift.
Some folks criticized Teyana Taylor for doing too much in response to Kayla’s remarks.
So, she sounded off in this lengthy comment on TSR:
It’s really crazy that everyone is allowed to bother me & be distasteful… EVERYBODY gets to play… while I love with grace. ALWAYS! But now I wanna have a lil Sagittarius fun too and it’s a problem? 😂
F**k the Iman part, I’m divorced and happily so, however, her choice of words was very distasteful and uncalled for. She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said, “She was famous at the time,” also said, “idc who see it,” it was very distasteful and uncalled for.
Most importantly, she knew people would dig. So automatically, my name is attached to the nonsense. At that point, she didn’t need to “@” me, that was clearly a quick search.
My name was trending without an @ before even saying a word. That’s how I seen it! Lol. On top of the fact that the math wasn’t matching & the facts weren’t fact’ing.
However, the level of cringe factor was. Lol. I’m finding out just like the world that where intentions were ill and petty.
She pulled the black card when it came to Taylor Swift, but in the same circle, turned around and tried to pull the black woman that was married to her situationship she claimed “dumped her” for me.
Dressing up like me for what?? Crazy part about it all is, I actually showed love under her pic when she posted it! Like I did the other 3736262626 people that dressed up as me for Halloween.
Whole time I ain’t even know she was being shady. Now I do. So in that case, petty panties on 🤷🏾♀️ I had my lil fun.

So, here’s where things get murky for me…
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert began dating in 2013, went Instagram official in June 2014, and made their red carpet debut at the September 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards.
They got engaged in November 2015 and revealed they were married in September 2016.
Kayla Nicole said the same year the dude dumped her and left her heartbroken… she dressed up as the new woman for Halloween.
Kayla dressed up as Teyana Taylor in Kanye West’s “Fade” video, which was released in August 2016.
So, by Kayla Nicole’s timeline, that would mean she was “dating” Iman while he was engaged to Teyana Taylor, and she actually dressed up as his wife for Halloween.
