Tran went on to explain that this route was the best option because it would fully remove the cancer and lower the chances of recurrence, especially since it was dangerously close to Sanders’ muscle.

Sanders was visibly emotional, reflecting on what the diagnosis meant for him personally and spiritually.
“When we hear that word, it’s usually a life sentence attached to it,” he said.
“But not this time. Not this time, because God got me.”
