Kandi Burruss was a recent guest on “The Real” and she became overwhelmed with emotion as she revealed she thought about suicide in middle school.
It seems like people have really gotten to a place where it just feels like everything is against you and a lot of people have been giving up.
For me, I was at that moment at a young age.
I know that’s going to sound crazy, but when I was in middle school I thought about taking my own life.
I really don’t like talking about it because it’s very emotional for me.
But, I’m only saying this because I know a lot of people are dealing with that right now.
I was feeling like that. I really wanted to go through the motions.
My mother, at the time she had a gun, and you know you’re a kid you go through their stuff so I knew where kept it.
And I had plans to use it. But, for whatever reason God made her put it somewhere else because it wasn’t where she normally kept it.
Watch below as Kandi shares her story.
Thank God for intervening and having Mama Joyce move that gun.
Wow. You never know what someone has been through.
I truly appreciate Kandi Burruss for her transparency because I’m sure it will help someone else.
I’m praying for anyone who may be struggling right now.
If you or someone you know is thinking of suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK.
