Let’s goooo! HBO just confirmed that “The Last of Us” is getting a third season, and Season 2 hasn’t even premiered yet!
The Emmy-winning series returns Sunday, April 13 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO and will stream on Max.
Season 2 picks up five years after the emotional rollercoaster of Season 1, and from everything we’ve seen and heard—it’s about to be wild.

This kind of early renewal is rare—and it says a lot about the heat behind the series.
HBO exec Francesca Orsi called Season 2 a “masterful follow-up,” and both Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are proud of what they’ve built.
Craig said the new season “exceeded even our most ambitious goals,” while Neil added that bringing this world to life has been a “career highlight.”
