Sony Pictures just delivered a two-piece combo that has the animation world buzzing. The official poster for GOAT is here, the teaser trailer has arrived, and the best part is that the release date is locked in.
The film will debut exclusively in movie theaters on February 13, 2026.
As a fan of any story where the underdog wins big, this one is already on my calendar.
And that title? GOAT is bold, hilarious, and lowkey perfect.
Watch The Official GOAT Teaser Trailer
Sony didn’t come to play.
The newly released teaser trailer gives us our first look at Will training, tumbling, hustling, and holding on for life as he steps into the world of Roarball.
The energy is chaotic in the best way, the visuals are sharp, and the comedic timing hits right on cue.
What GOAT Is All About
Created by the team behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, GOAT takes us into a wild all-animal universe where Will, a tiny goat with a giant heart, gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros.
Roarball is fast, intense, and absolutely not built for someone his size, but he’s ready to show the big dogs, big cats, and big everything that “smalls can ball.”
His teammates aren’t convinced, but Will is determined to shake things up and rewrite the entire playbook.
The Star-Studded Cast Behind GOAT
With direction from Tyree Dillihay and co-direction from Adam Rosette, this animated feature is stacked all the way up.
The script comes from Aaron Buchsbaum and Teddy Riley, inspired by Chris Tougas’ book “Funky Dunks.”
The cast is pure heat.
Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll, and Jennifer Hudson are all bringing these characters to life.
Plus, Stephen Curry producing an animated sports movie? You can’t write this stuff.

Why GOAT Is Already A Crowd Favorite
Even from a teaser, GOAT stands out as a heartfelt, high-energy comedy with a message we all need.
It’s funny, it’s inspiring, and it celebrates the magic of believing in yourself even when the odds are stacked sky-high.
This feels like the kind of movie families and grown folks will both love.
Do You Plan To See The Film?
Between the poster and the brand new teaser trailer, GOAT is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about animated films of 2026.
I’m rooting for Will already, and I can’t wait to see how he shakes up that roarball court.
