A hit dog will always holler! Gary Owen took to the Instagram to share his reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics about White comedians discussing Black women.
In “Wacced Out Murals,” the Hip Hop titan raps, Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law.
Listen to the song, featured on Kendrick Lamar’s new album, GNX, below.
Gary Owen took to Instagram writing, “If that’s the law that makes me a criminal.”
It didn’t take long before Gary’s comment section turned into a bon fire.
Big Tigger commented, “Chronic offender.”
Another commenter wrote, “Yea should’ve kept this in the drafts.”
Someone else commented, “You still have time to delete this…or change the caption.”
Perhaps Gary Owen is referring to his material about his ex-wife, Kenya Duke, who is a Black woman.
However, the consensus is Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical bullet was aimed at “Brilliant Idiots” Podcast co-host and comedian, Andrew Schultz.
You may recall that Andrew received quite a bit of backlash for his ignorant remarks regarding the “Black Girlfriend Effect.”
But, I’m not surprised one bit by Gary Owen trying to position himself as a subject of Kendrick’s lyrics.
I think the more applicable KL lyric for Gary Owen would be… “Sit down…be humble.”
