As a growing number of renters are facing eviction nationwide, a Florida man attempted to halt his eviction by taping a fake bomb to his porch.
The unidentified tenant placed the phony explosive on his porch on the first of September with a typo-filled note attached warning people to stay away.
PLEASE!!! Donot aprouch this house. I wish only to talk to Ch.12 TV. Donot tough anything. I know you are only doing your jobs. You have family! STAY BACK! Channel 12 only.
When Indian River County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they saw what appeared to be a bomb with wires attached to it.
A bomb technician, who was called to the home to investigate, determined it was fake.
Deputies took the tenant into custody without further incident and took him to a clinic for a mental health evaluation.
The eviction was ultimately served.
Desperate times are pushing people to desperate measures.
