Family Of Toddler Who Died In Dad’s Hot Car Was Investigated By Child Services Multiple Times

A new report claims the family of the toddler who died in her father’s hot car on Monday was subject to multiple abuse complaints filed to Clark County Department of Family Services.

Sayah Deal died on Monday (October 5) after her father, Sidney Deal, accidentally locked her inside of his car.

Deal was arrested, charged in his daughter’s death and released on $20,000 bond.

According to CCDFS, Child Protective Services received five reports of abuse regarding the family of the toddler that dates back as far as 2018.

There were three allegations of neglect in July and September of 2018 and one allegation in January 2019.

The final allegation of abuse was made in June 2020.

CPS said all of the allegations were investigated and found to be unsubstantiated.

Details of the allegations have not been released. Although in a press conference, Octavia Wilson, Sidney Deal’s mother said her son had full custody of Sayah.

Mariah Coleman, Sayah Deal’s mother, launched a GoFundMe titled “Justice For Sayah” to help cover the costs of her daughter’s funeral arrangements.

She wrote:

Hello Everyone. My name is Mariah the mother of Sayah Deal. I am raising money to have a memorial service for her. My child was locked in her father’s car on Monday night, October 5, 2020.

Any donations will go towards the funeral. I am a single parent and getting my princess laid properly means the most to me. I would like to thank each and every person that donated.

At the time of this post, the fundraiser has received $1,627 of the $5,000 goal.
