Creator Darren Star teases this next chapter as a “tale of two cities” with Emily splitting her time between Paris and Rome.

Yes, she even makes a glamorous stop in Venice.

From speedboats on the canals to rooftop views in the City of Lights, Emily is taking love, work, and life to new heights.

Where Emily’s Story Left Off

If you remember, Season 4 ended with Emily diving headfirst into Italian life both literally and figuratively.

After sparking a romance with fashion heir Marcello, she moved into a Roman apartment while helping launch the Rome office for Agence Grateau.

But Paris is still part of the plan.

Darren Star confirms: “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.”

On the romance front, Emily’s love life is as tangled as ever.

She’s falling deeper into her spark with Marcello, but Gabriel, her Parisian neighbor and on-again-off-again flame, realized at the last minute that he wants her back.

Will Emily follow her heart to Rome or circle back to Paris? The drama is set to unfold in Season 5.

‘Emily In Paris’ Global Success

The series continues to be one of Netflix’s biggest global hits.

Season 4 premiered at No. 1 on the Netflix Global Top 10, racking up 19.9 million views in its first four days and landing in the Top 10 across 93 countries.

The show has stayed a steady fan favorite, and it looks like Season 5 is about to raise the stakes even higher.

What To Expect In Season 5

Lily Collins says she’s most excited about seeing Emily embrace her relationship with Marcello while finding a healthier work/life balance.

“We want Emily to be able to smile without condition,” Collins explains.

Darren Star adds that Emily and Marcello’s connection will be explored deeply in Season 5, but Gabriel’s sudden declaration of love complicates everything.

Will Emily finally choose between her Parisian past and Italian future? Only time and Netflix will tell.
