Dr. Dre is trending in the streets of social media after his eldest daughter, LaTanya Young, revealed she is homeless and living out of her car.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, LaTanya, who is a single mother of four, said she hasn’t received any financial help from her father in over a year and a half.
My kids are staying with friends – they are not living in the car, it’s just me. I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now. I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse. I’m trying to keep my head above water. I’ve been in debt for a while.
LaTanya Young is Dr. Dre’s daughter with Lisa Johnson. The two split when’s he was 5-years-old and she is now 38 and hasn’t seen him in 18 years.
She says she can only communicate with him through his team.
Dre has given LaTanya money in the past, but he cut her off in January 2020.
His lawyer has said that my dad doesn’t want to help me because I’ve spoken about him in the press. I feel like I’m damned if I do, I’m damned if I don’t. I’m just trying to communicate with him and see if he wants to talk to his grandkids.
LaTanya Young is currently working for DoorDash and Uber Eats as a delivery driver to make some cash. But, she’s past due on the rental car she has.
It’s an SUV that costs $2,300 for three weeks and I only paid for one week. Sooner or later they are going to take the car.
