🎭 What “Down Cemetery Road” Is About

When a house unexpectedly explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb, a young girl vanishes into thin air.

But neighbor Sarah Tucker (Ruth Wilson) isn’t about to sit by and wait for answers.

She becomes obsessed with the girl’s disappearance and pulls in private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson) to help her unravel the truth.

What they discover is a tangled conspiracy where the line between life and death isn’t just blurred—it’s actively being rewritten.

People thought to be dead are suddenly alive, while the living are dropping like flies.

Yes, it’s giving mind-bending mystery with a side of British noir.

🌟 The Powerhouse Cast & Creative Team

You already know it’s going to be good when Emma Thompson signs on—not only as the lead but also as an executive producer.

She’s joined by Ruth Wilson, who always brings an edge to every role (Luther, anyone?).

“Down Cemetery Road” is written by Morwenna Banks (Slow Horses) and based on the novel by Mick Herron, who’s no stranger to twisty espionage and crime drama.

Herron’s “Slough House” series is the foundation of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ hit “Slow Horses,” which was just renewed for its seventh season and stars Gary Oldman.

Behind the scenes, the series is executive produced by Banks, Thompson, Herron, and the team at 60Forty Films (Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash), with Natalie Bailey (Bay of Fires) directing.

🍿 Why This One’s A Must-Watch

  • Two award-winning leads at the top of their game? Check.
  • Twisty mystery with high stakes and real danger? Double check.
  • From the same minds behind “Slow Horses?” That’s a YES.

Apple TV+ is clearly building a crime thriller empire, and “Down Cemetery Road” feels like the next big hit in their lineup.
