Dave Hollister is feeling blessed and grateful after celebrating his 55th birthday.

The Chicago-bred soul singer and former member of Blackstreet took to the streets of social media to thank his friends and fans for the outpouring of Birthday Love on August 17.

Dave wrote:

First I wanna thank God that he has allowed me to be here another year! Thank you all for your birthday wishes.

Yesterday was an amazing day and I’m grateful to have spent it with my family!

Looking at the recent losses of life around me I am so grateful to the Son for another year around the Sun!
