Dave Chappelle honored the Buffalo shooting victims and their families by donating all of the proceeds from his recent show to them.
The legendary comedian booked Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, New York just for day ago for the last-minute show on Thursday night (June 5).
As you can imagine, the tickets sold out expeditiously.
Dave addressed the audience and told them some of the victims’ families were in attendance and he was donating all proceeds from the show to them.
Shea’s director of marketing and communications Kevin Sweeney recalled:
He said, and I’m paraphrasing, ‘I came here to Buffalo to recognize the victims and for these families.’
10 people were killed and 3 others were wounded at the Tops Friendly Markets store on Saturday, May 14, in a racially-motivated act of domestic terrorism.
