Darius McCrary Arrested In California On Fugitive Warrant
Call Taco Bell…cause Eddie Winslow ran for the border! Actor Darius McCrary, best known for playing Eddie Winslow on the beloved sitcom “Family Matters,” was arrested near the U.S.-Mexico border in California and is currently being held in a San Diego jail.
According to online records, Darius was taken into custody by the United States Border Patrol on Sunday.
His case is listed as a “fugitive arrest,” meaning authorities in California picked him up because he’s wanted by another state for a serious offense.
The Charge Stems From Michigan
McCrary’s representative, Ann Barlow, told TMZ that the warrant was issued out of Michigan after he failed to appear in court for a child support-related matter.
This isn’t the first time Darius has faced legal trouble over unpaid child support.
He’s been arrested twice before for the same issue, once in 2015 and again in 2023.

A Longstanding Legal Battle
The actor’s ongoing child support issues stem from his tumultuous divorce from ex-wife Tammy Brawner, which was finalized in 2019 after a two-year court battle.
As part of their divorce agreement, McCrary was ordered to pay $1,366 per month in child support.
Unfortunately, missed payments have continued to land him in hot water.
What’s Next For Darius McCrary
At this time, McCrary remains behind bars in San Diego while authorities coordinate with Michigan officials.
There’s no word yet on when he’ll appear in court or whether he’ll be extradited.
It’s unclear how long McCrary will remain in custody, but this latest arrest adds another chapter to his long list of child support troubles.
