Damon Dash Takes Shots At Cam’ron Over ‘Paid In Full’ Series

Damon Dash is not holding back his feelings about Cam’ron linking up with 50 Cent to bring Paid In Full to television.

After 50 Cent announced that he had secured the rights to the Harlem classic and Cam’ron celebrated the news on Instagram, Dame took to social media with his own response.

What Cam’ron Had To Say

Cam’ron reposted 50 Cent’s announcement with excitement, writing:

“So we’ve been talking about this for a few months now, and it’s almost time. Thx @50cent for the opportunity my n***a. We gonna burn this s**t down!!”

See his original post below.

That energy didn’t sit well with Damon Dash, one of the film’s original executive producers.

Damon Dash’s Clapback

Dame first shared an old video of himself talking about “suckers” who find comfort in having a boss.

He followed it up with a direct response aimed at Cam’ron while sitting on a white couch.

He said:

Cam just made a post…major announcement.

I want to congratulate him for making 50 his new boss. So, congratulations, Cam.

50 is now your new boss and you’re proud of it. Congratulations, my n***a.

Cam’ron Fires Back

Cam’ron wasted no time clapping back in the comments with a mix of humor and shade:

The Bigger Picture

This drama comes on the heels of Damon Dash filing for bankruptcy, revealing over $25 million in debt and claiming he has no income.

His public shots at Cam’ron could be fueled by frustration at being excluded from a project tied to a film he originally executive produced.

The timing is especially striking, considering 50 Cent’s success with “Power” and “BMF.”

His track record makes him the right person to reimagine Paid In Full, while Cam’ron’s involvement adds authenticity given his role in the original film.

But with Dame on the sidelines, some fans wonder if his reaction is about principle or pride.

Shady Or Nah?

Frens, do you think 50 Cent and Cam’ron were wrong for not including Damon Dash in this Paid In Full project, or were they simply protecting the bag knowing Dame’s recent business troubles?
