Coi Leray admits she may have overreacted at Latto mentioning her name in her new single, “Put It On Da Floor.”
In the song, the Grammy Award-nominated rapper said, “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray.”
Coi took to her Twitter timeline and blasted Latto for essentially body-shaming her and implored her not to talk about her body.
Over the weekend Coi Leray tweeted (then deleted) that she may have overreacted.
Maybe I over reacted idk. End of the day. Don’t say my name for clicks and likes. Specially if we don’t speak or communicate. I’m not a big blunt or small blunt.
Don’t compare me to nada. Mention b**ches you actually have beef with. Put it on the floor but leave me out of the bs.
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Y’all don’t be know the half of the sh*t that goes on in this sh*t. But the main goal is ICON sh*t. If I don’t make me rich or better person. Stay away.
While performing “Put It On Da Floor,” at Coachella over the weekend, Latto said, “Aye Coi, by the way, I love your body, baby.”
Coi reposted the clip and tweeted, “It was the diss record with my name on it that confused me. Much love to Latto! Appreciate the compliment.”
The song definitely confused Coi Leray because a couple of years ago it was a love fest between the two rappers.
When “Big Energy” was on fire and ripping up the charts, Coi was in the streets of social media cheering Latto on.
Latto returned the love publicly and called Coi “so fckn genuine.”
I’m happy the ladies are good again.
