💍 Love & Basketball: Coco Jones And Donovan Mitchell Are Engaged!
Frens, love is in the air—and this time, it’s Grammy-winning singer Coco Jones and NBA star Donovan Mitchell who are making it official.
After keeping their romance under wraps for the past two years, the couple surprised fans on Friday, July 11, by announcing their engagement via Instagram.
They dropped the news with a romantic photo showing Coco’s hand (and that stunning ring!) resting on Donovan’s chest as they shared a kiss.
The Cleveland Cavaliers star also posted a dreamy video of the actual proposal, which went down at a gorgeous tropical resort with palm trees swaying and a sparkling body of water in the background. (swipe embed)

🗣️ “It Turned Into A Beautiful Engagement”
In a joint statement shared with PEOPLE, reps for the couple said:
“After an amazing season and a sold-out tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on vacation, which turned it into a beautiful engagement.”
They added, “The couple has been dating for two years and look forward to building a life together.”
We love that for them!
💕 Private, But Never A Secret
While fans had long suspected a romance between Coco and Donovan, the two kept things low-key—only dropping subtle hints about their love life in interviews.
When Coco appeared on “The Breakfast Club” earlier this year, she offered just enough to feed our curiosity:
“I’m happy, and that’s all I got to say about it.”
And back in February, when asked on “Club Shay Shay” about the online speculation surrounding her relationship, Coco gave us a classic Coco answer:
“I love the internet because they definitely clocked my tea. I love that. Little spies everywhere.”
She explained that keeping her relationship private is part of protecting not just her peace, but the people she loves.
“I don’t want to ever feel like I have to be somebody’s secret… I’m trying to protect myself, and I’m trying to protect my family and whoever I love.”
