It’s with a heavy heart that I report Charlie Robinson has passed away.
The amazing actor best known for his role as Mac on “Night Court,” died on Sunday (July 11) at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center from cardiac arrest with multisystem organ failures due to septic shock and metastatic adenocarcinoma.
He was 75.
Many have taken to social media to celebrate the life and work of Charlie Robinson.
His “Night Court” castmate, Marsha Warfield, tweeted:
Oh, no! I’m so sorry to read this. Charlie Robinson was one of the great ones. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, fans and all whose lives he touched. Rest well, Charlie, I thought you’d live forever.

RIP Charlie Robinson. Iâll always remember him from Night Court, but his small role as the grimy dude in âSet It Offâ was incredible. https://t.co/VeVMqacL3H pic.twitter.com/ch3xJvC8fH
