Chaka Khan recently took to Instagram to shut down the swirling rumors that a Netflix documentary about her legendary career is on the way.
While fans (myself included!) were buzzing at the thought of seeing her iconic journey on the small screen, Chaka made it clear that the reports were completely false.
📵 No Netflix Documentary…Yet
In a statement posted on her official IG account, Chaka Khan wrote:
“Despite what’s been circulating, there is no Chaka Khan documentary announcement from Netflix – and no official release scheduled for September.”
She also reminded her fans that when there is something to share, she’ll say it herself:
“When there is news to share, you’ll hear it directly from Chaka herself – right here on her official social media channels or through her newsletter.”
She even dropped a reminder to sign up for her newsletter so you don’t miss out on any real tea:
