Willie Nelson has earned the well-deserved title of “legendary smoker” over the years. Snoop Dogg has never shied away from the fact that he likes, no, loves his marijuana. This love has featured so prominently in his lyrics.

Over the last few years, more and more celebrities have come out and spoken about indulging in some marijuana for varied reasons. Of course, plenty more are getting their hit away from the public eye and never speak about it.

Stimulating Creativity

Seth Rogen has spoken about smoking some marijuana while he writes. Lady Gaga has also come out to say that cannabis helps to stimulate her creativity and uses it when she writes her music. And for Gaga, it’s not just a couple of hits, but she has admitted that she smokes quite a lot of marijuana when writing music, to a point where she was at one time addicted to it.

Great film scripts and excellent music are products of a creative process that, according to your favorite celebs, cannabis stimulate. Would the music or the films be any less awesome than they are? Who is to say.

Managing Work-related Stress

Your favorite celebrities work hard, and it can take a toll. You may only see the glam and the perfect Hollywood lifestyle, but these guys do put in the work; writing scripts and songs, filming across different locations, preparing for the various acting roles, hours of choreography classes to perfect those dance moves, shooting music videos and attending various industry events.

They are only human, after all. Using some marijuana helps to take off some of the edges and relax after a long day. Seth Rogen has said that being “high all day, every day” helps him manage his daily grind.

Managing Health-Related Issues

“He looks so sickly” was something that comedian Pete Davidson had gotten used to hearing about himself. No, he wasn’t on some fad diet or intentionally losing weight in preparation for a movie role. Poor guy couldn’t keep the weight on because of the effects of Crohn’s disease. One of the effects of the disease is that it curbs appetite. Some strains of cannabis, on the other hand, help to improve appetite. In addition to Crohn’s disease, Davidson has also said that smoking marijuana helps him manage his bipolar disorder.

Your favorite songstress Lady Gaga has also been very vocal about how smoking marijuana has helped her with pain management. She has fibromyalgia, which is accompanied by chronic pain, which can also affect mood. She admits to being depressed at some point, and the high from smoking marijuana certainly helped raise her spirits high during those times.

Songwriter and singer Melissa Etheridge has spoken about using medical marijuana after her 2004 breast cancer diagnosis. The marijuana helped ease both the physical and mental toll that the cancer treatments were having on her.

If you are suffering from a condition that medical marijuana can help, find out how to get a medical marijuana card in Oklahoma or in your state. There has been a lot of research on the medical benefits of marijuana for physical, mental, and emotional conditions.

Some Feel-Good for Everyone

Celebs sure know how to have a good time and feel good. After talking about his taking marijuana for its medical benefits, Davidson quickly points out that he loves how it feels. Fellow cannabis users like Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Seth Rogen, Wiz Khalifa, and so many others agree that, if not for any other reason, they would get stoned to experience that glorious high. What is it they always say? YOLO?? That’s it right there.

The list of celebrity stoners is endless. Some are more vocal about it than others, but in the end, it’s a personal choice, and for some, because of medical reasons.
