“Black Ink Crew” star Ceaser Emanuel is speaking out a day after he was fired by VH1 over a video that allegedly shows him abusing one of his dogs.
The tattoo artist, entrepreneur, and reality TV star is telling another version of what happened that doesn’t quite match the awful video of him smashing his dog over the head with a folding chair.
Ceaser admits the video does look bad and he wishes he could take the moment back, but he says he was “nervous and scared” because his two dogs were attacking each other and he was just trying to de-escalate the situation.
I know the footage everybody seen it looks crazy.
Even me looking at it – it looks crazy.
It’s a moment in time I wish I could take back.
I came home and my dogs were attacking each other and I don’t mean regular play-fighting – they were going for each other’s necks basically trying to kill each other.
I separate the dogs. Now, one of the dogs attacked me.
What I did was opened the garage door trying to de-escalate, but I was nervous I’m not going to tell you no lie.
I was nervous and I was scared. So, at the end of the day I was trying to back the dog down.
I was honestly trying to scare him. And not one time was I trying to abuse this dog.
All I was trying to do was get him back in his cage.
The way the video was set up – I’m not going to make no excuses for myself I should have behaved better.
But, that’s not me with being cruel to animals or anything like that. I’m not that.
What I did was a mistake and that was just it.
That was my dog and at the end of the day – what people have to understand is that was a moment.
My dogs are perfectly well. Honestly, I gave one to my friend and the other one is completely fine.
Both of them are completely healthy and fine.
As far as how the footage of his alleged dog abuse made its way to the streets of social media – Ceaser says he doesn’t know.
But, he believes he’s being set up to have his character called into question.
I’ll be honest with you I don’t know how the footage got leaked. I know that it was off of my Ring camera at my house.
It feels like, I’m a keep it a buck with you, I feel like I’m being set up in some way because the way I’m being portrayed…,that’s not my character.
Ceaser Emanuel went on to say he was in the shop when he found out he had been fired by VH1 and he’s now receiving death threats.
I was in the shop and I seen it on Instagram and every keep hitting me.
I started getting a lot of death threats. It was crazy. I had to turn off my comments because it got too crazy.
