Cassie Speaks Out Before Diddy’s Sentencing
Cassie Ventura Fine has once again used her voice to call for accountability. Just days before Sean “Diddy” Combs is sentenced on federal charges, Cassie submitted a deeply personal letter to Judge Arun Subramanian urging that his punishment reflect not only his crimes of conviction, but also the lasting trauma he caused.
Federal prosecutors are recommending that Diddy receive at least 11 years in prison following his conviction on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution.
Although he was acquitted on more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, prosecutors described him as “unrepentant” and accused him of decades of violence and abuse that left victims in fear.
Prosecutors Push For A Lengthy Sentence
In their memo, prosecutors painted a harrowing picture of Diddy’s alleged behavior.
They argued that while the court cannot punish him for the charges he was acquitted of, his sentencing must still account for the manner in which he committed his crimes.
They cited his alleged violent and abusive control over the women in his orbit, particularly Cassie, whose testimony and the infamous hotel video showed disturbing acts of physical assault.
Prosecutors described his actions as “decades of unchecked violence” that inflicted psychological, emotional, and physical damage.
Defense attorneys pushed back, calling the recommendation “draconian” and claiming it was essentially a call to “lock him up and throw away the key.”
Cassie’s Heartbreaking Letter
In her three-page letter, Cassie described the years she spent trapped in what she called a decade of abuse and control under Diddy’s power.
She detailed how, starting at just 19 years old, she was forced into repeated “freak offs” with hired sex workers, manipulated with drugs and alcohol, and subjected to severe physical violence.
Cassie recounted being beaten, stomped, and left bloodied, violence that was often hidden behind makeup or captured in footage the world later saw.
She admitted to falling into substance abuse as a way to endure the degradation she experienced, and revealed that the trauma pushed her to suicidal thoughts before her family intervened.
“While the defense attorneys at trial suggested that my time with Combs was akin to a ‘great modern love story,’ nothing could be further from the truth,” she wrote.
“Nothing about this story is great, modern, or loving. This was a horrific decade of my life stained by abuse, violence, forced sex, and degradation.”

Cassie Calls For Justice
Cassie’s letter was not just about recounting her pain.
It was a direct plea for accountability.
She urged the judge to consider the strength it took for victims to testify, the lifelong scars left behind, and the many lives disrupted by Combs’ alleged abuse.
“For over a decade, Sean Combs made me feel powerless and unimportant, but my experience was real, horrific, and deserves to be considered,” she concluded.
“I hope that your sentencing decision considers the many lives that Sean Combs has upended with his abuse and control.”
