Over the weekend, Cardi B promised a major announcement—and sis delivered! The Grammy-winning rapper has officially revealed that her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, will arrive on September 19.
If you’ve been keeping score, it’s been seven years since our favorite regular degular girl from the Bronx dropped her debut, Invasion of Privacy—the best-selling female rap album of the 2010s.
To hype the news, Cardi released a dramatic teaser video where she declared:
“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your tyrant. The time is here. The time is now.”

On Friday, Cardi surprised the Bardi Gang with a brand new summer bop, “Outside,” but later admitted she fought against her label because she didn’t want to release it—and even apologized to Atlantic Records for “being bratty.”

The album will feature 23 tracks, including “Outside” and fan-favorite hits like “Up” (2021) and the chart-smashing “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion (2020).
