The Macrons Say “Non!” To Candace Owens’ Claims

Candace Owens is back in the headlines—and this time, it’s not for her usual online antics.

French First Lady Brigitte Macron and President Emmanuel Macron have filed a defamation lawsuit against the conservative commentator, citing what they call “outlandish, defamatory and far-fetched fictions.”

At the heart of the suit? Owens’ repeated (and completely false) claims that Brigitte Macron was born a man—a conspiracy theory the Macrons argue was pushed to “gain notoriety and make money.”

According to the 22-count complaint filed in Delaware state court, Owens “has built a brand on provocation, not truth,” using her Becoming Brigitte series to fuel the fire while growing her podcast audience, YouTube following, and social media presence.

The Lawsuit Pulls No Punches

The filing, led by powerhouse attorney Tom Clare, is jam-packed with eyebrow-raising references—everything from CIA mind control theories to guest appearances by Andrew Tate, Charlie Kirk, Alex Jones, Nigel Farage, and even Ye (Kanye West).

The Macrons say this isn’t just about bizarre internet theories—it’s about reputation, integrity, and personal harm. The complaint details how Owens’ accusations have damaged the couple’s image and political credibility, especially after three formal retraction demands were ignored.

Despite all that, Owens kept it pushing, using the backlash as fuel for her fanbase. “The clicks kept coming, so Owens kept going,” the lawsuit states.

Candace Owens Responds

Shortly after the suit went public, Owens’ camp fired back. In a statement shared with Deadline, her rep declared:

Candace Owens is not shutting up.

This is a foreign government attacking the First Amendment rights of an American independent journalist…

Candace will address everything on her show today, where she will continue to express her First Amendment rights.

Owens claims she reached out to Brigitte Macron for comment but never received a response.

Instead, she says, the Macrons opted to sue rather than engage—a move she says reeks of censorship.

Even Joe Rogan Weighed In

The controversy is so wild, even “The Joe Rogan Experience” couldn’t ignore it.

Back in April, Rogan joked, “She’s got a six-hour presentation on how Brigitte Macron is a man.”

He even added, “I think she’s right,” before predicting they’d eventually sue her.

Well, here we are.

The Bigger Picture

While the Macrons say they never tried to “pay Owens off,” they’re now ready to take this all the way to trial—something they appear much more willing to do than their infamous frenemy, Donald Trump.

As for Candace Owens, she’s busy leading her own campaign demanding the full Jeffrey Epstein files be released.

But if she thought the Macrons were bluffing, this 219-page filing just proved otherwise.

Candace better chill…Brigitte already showed the entire world she’s got quick hands!
