🎤 Bryson Tiller Gets Real About His Career On “New Rory & Mal” Podcast

Bryson Tiller is one of the most influential voices in modern R&B, but during a recent sit-down on the “New Rory & Mal” podcast, he made it clear that his days as an artist might be numbered.

And no, this isn’t just a publicity stunt to push a new album.

Tiller opened up in a deeply candid moment about how being an artist chips away at him, and how he’s already planning his exit strategy.

🎶 The Vices Of Fame: Bryson Tiller Gets Candid

Bryson’s revelation comes shortly after the release of his latest project, The Vices, which dropped on August 8.

But instead of celebrating, the Kentucky native used his platform to reveal the emotional toll that releasing new music takes on him.

“Every time I release some stuff, it eats away at me,” he shared. “It’s a huge energy pull… I just don’t like being talked about… even if it’s good.”

As someone who has never been the flashy, spotlight-hungry type, Tiller admitted that fame and public opinion—positive or not—drain him more than fans might realize.

🧠 From Beats To Game Design: Bryson’s Backup Plan

What does a multi-platinum artist do when the stage starts to feel like a burden?

Pivot.

Bryson revealed he’s been quietly working on something entirely different: video game design.

“I’ve been studying game design for like five years,” he told Rory and Mal.

“I’m not really doing it for the money, but the moment I have some success in something else… I’m done being an artist.”

He went on to say that he would walk away from the mic immediately if someone like Drake or Chris Brown asked him to write for them full-time.

That creative space would give him the freedom to support his family without carrying the weight that comes with being the face and the name.

💬 “I Only Do It To Feed My Family”

That was the heart of it all. Bryson Tiller admitted that he continues to release music because it provides for the people he loves.

“I really only do it to feed my family and take care of people,” he said.

“It took me a long time to get my money right… but now I’m straight and my family’s straight.”

It’s a brutally honest take on a career that, from the outside, often looks like nothing but glitz and Grammy glamour.

But for Tiller, the personal cost outweighs the public praise.

🙏🏾 Protecting His Peace

Honestly? I don’t blame Bryson Tiller one bit.

We live in a culture that demands constant access, nonstop content, and instant opinions.

If stepping away from the spotlight allows him to breathe, focus on his peace, and still care for his loved ones, I support it all the way.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, the bravest thing an artist can do is choose themselves.
