A Daughter’s Love: Brooke Hogan Pays Tribute To Hulk Hogan After His Passing
Brooke Hogan is speaking out for the first time following the unexpected death of her father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan.
In an emotional and deeply personal Instagram post on Tuesday, July 29, Brooke shared her heartbreak over the loss of her dad—real name Terry Bollea—and offered clarity on their much-speculated estrangement.
“When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him,” she wrote. “I felt it before the news even reached us.”

Honoring The Bond They Once Shared
Brooke, now 37, described the powerful connection she had with her father and revealed that despite their distance in recent years, her love for him never wavered.
“He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope,” she wrote. “Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”
While grieving, Brooke made it clear she wanted to “clear a few things up,” including the reason behind their estrangement—a topic that’s been buzzing online for months.
Brooke Hogan Sets The Record Straight On Their Estrangement
According to Brooke, there wasn’t a dramatic falling out.
Instead, it was a painful series of emotional shifts, private conversations, and a growing distance that quietly built a wall between them.
“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she explained.
“My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft… I begged him to rest.”
Brooke shared that she and her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, even relocated to Florida to be closer to her dad while he battled ongoing health issues and endured multiple surgeries.
But as his health declined, something changed.
“We had been through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries,” she recalled.
“It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”
“I Did Everything I Could”
Brooke went on to say that after years of loving her father fiercely, she had to step back to protect her peace.
“During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,” she admitted.
She later learned that her husband had quietly maintained communication with Hulk, trying to mend the rift.
After his passing, Brooke read their messages—some responded to, others not—but all deeply emotional.
“I know in my heart I did everything I could,” she said. “He knew I would run through a burning building for him… He knows how deeply, how hard, and how purely I loved him.”

A Complicated Family History
Brooke’s relationship with her father had been under the microscope for some time.
She was notably absent from Hulk’s 2023 wedding to Sky Daily, and in March 2025, her mother Linda claimed Brooke had cut ties with the family, even keeping her wedding and the birth of her twins a secret.

Brooke, who rose to fame alongside her family on VH1’s “Hogan Knows Best”, has since stepped away from the limelight, focusing on interior design and motherhood.
She launched BB Designs by Brooke in 2018 and welcomed fraternal twins, Oliver and Molly, earlier this year.
Remembering Hulk Hogan
The wrestling world was shaken when news broke of Hulk Hogan’s death on Thursday.
Emergency services were reportedly called to his Clearwater Beach home just before 10 a.m., though no official cause of death has been released.
Hulk Hogan, a wrestling icon and pop culture staple, shared Brooke and her brother Nick with ex-wife Linda.
Brooke’s post reminds fans that behind every legend is a family with its own story—and a daughter who never stopped loving her dad.
